Currents in Electronic Literacy
Statement of Purpose
Currents in Electronic Literacy advances digital literacies by critiquing and assessing the present state of the field. We construe electronic literacy widely to include literature, rhetoric and composition, languages (English, foreign, and ESL), communication studies, education, and pedagogy. Currents accepts scholarly papers, interviews, and review articles (including reviews of books, websites, software, and new media) for internal peer review by a cohort of graduate students and faculty at the University of Texas at Austin.
Currents is published annually by the Digital Writing and Research Lab (formerly the CWRL) of the Department of Rhetoric and Writing at The University of Texas at Austin. Currents is indexed by the MLA and EBSCO, and the e-journal’s ISSN is 1524-6493.
