    18. Verbs (“poder” can, “procurar”, look for, “saber” know, etc.) are always written in the infinitive presentation form.  Adjectives which in Portuguese are inflected for gender and number are written with @ to indicate that Brazilian Sign Language does not inflect them.  In this passage, no special marking of facial expression, classifiers, verb agreement or signing hand are present.
